    I believe desktops are here to stay mainly due to the browsing comfort they give to end users. Also most of the users might not relay on using their mobile phones for buying online as they feel insecure about giving their CC/Bank details on mobile phones especially on android based mobile phones.

    It is a general opinion that Android apps are not checked for security lapses when they are placed on google play. There are some malicious android apps which serve your main purpose but would steal the data in the background. Where as for ioS apps it is not the case and that might be the reason why we see more % of buying being done from these devices.

      Love the thoughts – that could certainly help iOS numbers. The other factor is that iOS users are generally more wealthy and likely to buy!
