2015 was a great year for Echidna. 2016 will be even better.

Echidna is entering the new year with a lot of positive momentum. Nearly all of our metrics — from number of accounts to topline revenue to number of projects executed — are up around 40% over this same time last year!

We also turn 6 years old in March 2016, and we couldn’t be more excited for the next chapter in our story.

It all starts with people. I couldn’t be more proud of the amazing people who walk through Echidna’s front doors every day to put their passion and skills to work towards achieving incredible things. We’ve also had the great fortune of working with amazing people from our clients’ teams that keep us challenged, keep us inspired, and continue to work with us to accomplish their goals.

Heading into the new year, we are announcing a new Mission Statement, which will provide inspirational direction for our people, increase our focus as a service provider, and tightly align our culture to achieve the results that our clients are looking for:

There’s nothing more valuable that we can provide than delight for our client’s customers. While we’ve had our mix of successes and failures just like any team, we know this is the right mission to pursue. We are aligning our company’s expectations, our processes, and our people towards this mission. It will take time. We won’t see perfection overnight, but we will see significant improvement, and our clients will benefit as a result.

A delighted customer is the spark that ignites success for our clients. A delighted customer engages our clients’ brands frequently, purchases more often, purchases more volume, and most importantly refers their friends and acquaintances to the client’s brand.

Fresh perspectives are derived from Echidna’s abundance of experience, expertise, creativity, innovation, and specialization. It’s our role to apply magical combinations of these assets to provide our clients with fresh perspectives that will inspire decisions leading to delighted customers.

Everything we do drives towards this mission statement. Selecting the world’s best technology partners, providing expert advice and guidance, capturing requirements accurately, writing great code, designing amazing user experiences, testing the scalability and page load time of sites, keeping our servers and systems running smoothly throughout the year, hiring great talent — everything we do works together to achieve customer delight.

Adam comes from 20 years of eCommerce and technology experience, including leadership roles for Walmart's Sam's Club eCommerce division. His diverse background includes strategy, marketing, site experience, program management, and technology design and development.
